Vad har Ulf Nordfjell hittat på?

Det vi om exakt en månad, den 19 maj 2009, då Chelsea Flower show öppnas i London och människor strömmar till - till en av världens bästa trädgårdsmässor. Och det är då vi också får se svenske trädgårdskonstnären Ulf Nordfjells trädgård som han bygger upp och skapar för tidningen Daily Telegraphs räkning (det är den av det mest prestigefulla uppdrag man kan få på mässan). Ett smakprov från en intervju på tidningen kan man lyssna och eller via den här länken.

The Daily Telegraph Garden at this year's Chelsea Flower Show will be designed by Swedish landscape architect Ulf Nordfjell. Ulf caused quite a buzz at Chelsea two years ago with his gold-winning debut garden, A Tribute to Linnaeus, and he returns this May with a design that gives a fresh and contemporary twist to the English cottage and country garden traditions.

"The Scandinavian style is clean lines, few materials, and the idea that less is more. In England, you like to grow every plant you can. Even house walls are covered with plants. In Sweden, we put the sitting area and the conservatory in the middle or at the end of the garden. In England, you put them by the house. I thought it would be interesting to mix these ideas, and flirt with the English style."
